Autumn Gold & It's Enchanted Forest

When Autumn leaves start to fall is arguably the
best time to visit Perthshire, with its arboreal display
of deep reds, gold, copper & purple. See
Perthshire’s lochs and mountains as our leisurely
day takes us to Queen Victoria’s favourite view at
Loch Tummel, then onwards to Kenmore and the
shimmering waters of Loch Tay, surrounded by
purple clad hillsides, heading north into the
Highlands to the shoreline of Loch Earn and onto
Crieff, with a guided tour and tasting of the
“Famous Grouse” whiskey at the world’s oldest
distillery, Glenturret. We visit Glamis, the childhood
home of the Queen Mother. The castle is a place to
admire with its stunning architecture and
furnishings, with a proud history dating back to the
14th century. In October the gardens display their
spectacular rustic colours, with an abundance of
trees and exotic plants. We also visit the university
town of St Andrews, also well known as the home of
golf and many courses, then onto Dundee, a
transformed city with its bustling waterfront, where
we have included entry into the new V&A Museum,
which hosts major exhibitions, celebrating
Scotland’s design heritage. The highlight of this tour
is a dazzling evening of music & light at the
Enchanted Forest. Minibuses transport us from our
hotel to the stunning forest location near Pitlochry,
which is a backdrop to Highland Perthshire’s multiaward
winning show, which fuses creative talents to
create an outdoor experience that will set your
imagination alight. With dazzling visuals and
innovative design set against an original music
score, you will experience a lighting show that is,
quite simply, out of this world!

Fishers Hotel Pitlochry, is steps from Killiecrankie
and features rooms with views over the city. Since
1897 the venue has been offering accommodation
in a 4-story building with a historic architecture and
furnishings. All of the guestrooms are en suite and
offer the usual refinements including TV, WiFi,
telephone & refreshment facilities. Our stay is on a
half board basis. A lift serves all floors.
